Cecilia Chung

Traditional Representation/Litigation
Consulting Attorney to Mediation
Premarital, Postmarital, Cohabitation, and Transmutation Agreements

Cecilia understands that life transitions can be difficult, emotional, and unexpected. She works closely with her clients to understand their specific goals and objectives, and tailors her approach to each individual client and their needs. With over sixteen years of dedicated family law practice, Cecilia finds creative solutions to complex family law matters with compassion, hands on guidance, and absolute discretion.

Cecilia counsels clients through all phases of their marital dissolution action, from initial consultation to settlement or trial, as well as post-judgment actions. Cecilia’s practice, which includes both family law litigation and negotiated settlements, focuses on high asset dissolution cases in Silicon Valley involving complex financial issues, such as venture capital, private equity, privately held business interests, and family trusts. Cecilia incorporates an interdisciplinary approach to each case, as needed, by working collaboratively with experts specializing in forensic accounting, finance, equity compensation, corporate law, charitable vehicles, and tax and estate planning to develop the most effective and efficient path to resolution.

Cecilia has extensive experience negotiating, drafting, and counseling clients through marital and relationship contracts, including pre-marital agreements, post-marital agreements, and cohabitation agreements. She also regularly advises clients in mediation as a consultant, and has been trained in mediation through The Center for Understanding in Conflict with Gary Friedman.

Cecilia is deeply committed to giving back to her community, focusing on organizations that support children and families without access to legal services.
