As a family law attorney and mediator, I help individuals and couples work through challenging family law issues with the goal of achieving increased ease and stability in their lives. I recognize that while there are many common concerns, there is also nuance and uniqueness to each family that must be acknowledged and considered, be it in resolving conflicts, negotiating settlements, presenting arguments, or drafting marital agreements.

A main focus of my practice for the past 15 years has been child custody. I care deeply about children and families, and I believe that placing children and their best interests at the center is key to building and maintaining a healthy society. I counsel parties about the processes and options that are available to them so that they can determine the best path forward to resolving the presenting issues. This may include crafting thoughtful parenting plans, connecting clients with co-parenting experts and mental health professionals who can provide specialized assistance, negotiating and drafting agreements, and navigating the legal system with as much grace and efficiency as possible.

I completed mediation training with Gary Friedman and Catherine Conner at the Center for Understanding in Conflict in 2019. As a mediator, I facilitate agreements by providing parties with a space and opportunity to understand the process of obtaining a divorce and the applicable law in a way that is accessible. Parties can talk through options and negotiate in a transparent and confidential setting. The uncertainty that surrounds transitions in family law can sometimes feel destabilizing. Mediation is an opportunity for agency so that parties can reach agreements on their own terms and walk away with a written agreement that they negotiated together with the assistance of a neutral.

Since 2007, I have practiced family law exclusively throughout the Bay Area, with a focus on Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties. I grew up in Silicon Valley and now live in San Francisco. I have practiced yoga for more than 20 years. I love reading, vacations along the Pacific Coast, and cooking breakfast for my family.
